Emergency responders can’t get into house but it’s not known if anyone is inside – water treatment plant serving 2,000 shuts down
A train carrying crude oil derailed in southern West Virginia on Monday, sending at least one tanker into the Kanawha River and sparking a house fire, officials said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries. Nearby residents were told to evacuate as state emergency response and environmental officials headed to the scene about 30 miles south-east of Charleston.
